WORKING ON OUR BROCHURES

Today we got time to work on our brochures that we are doing for our business. It is due this thursday.

WEBSITE

We have to have a website for our business and we have to make one in macromedia dreamwever. Or we have to do a podcat or an animation.

BROCHURE

We have to make a brochure for our business in microsoft publisher. We have to advertise our business in it and it is due next week.

BUSINESSLETTER

In a business letter you should have a begging, muddle and an ending.
We are suppose to write a business letter for one of our costumers and we have to tell them that what is our service or business and what do we do?

LETTERHEAD

Letter head is the tittle of of your page that you are sending to someone. You can make your letterhead in anyways you want. Today we had to do that for our business.

BUSINESS CARD

We were suppose to make a business card for our business in microsoft word.To do that first you have to go to microsoft word, tools menu, choose envlops and lables, choose options and lables and choose business card and ok and small boxes will appear fill one of them and copy and pase to other ones and you can have as much cards as you can.

WORKING ON OUR LOGOS

Today we worked on our logo for our businesses. It is due this period. We cannot copy any pictures from the internet we have to make it by ourselves and it should br realsitic.

LOGO

A logo is a symbol or picture that people uses to discribe their company, business or organizations. A company can use a logo on the things that they make or the things that they sell like they can use a logo for a letter or advertisement and when a person sees it they can easily know that this is the picture or symbol of that company.
Logos can have letter and words in them and many have the name of their companies in them.
Some logos have simple drawing on them and simply couloured and some logos are black and white.
Companies are not the only ones who uses a logo. Many schools have logo, clubs can have logo, some cities have logo and even people can have their logos if they want.
A complete logo should have the following:
1)Logotype:It is a set in a unique typeface or it is arranged in a particular way.
2)Icon: An icon it an image, picture or representation, it is a sing or likeness of something which will represent it.
3)Slogan: Solgan is a memorable phase or time used in political, commercial and religious and other contexts.

FILLING THE FORMS

Today we were suppose to be filling the forms th evendro permit form and the registration for business form. They are PDF files which we cannot save anything in it we have to fill it out and print it.

OUR BUDGETS

We have to write down all of our budget including income, expences, general, advertiseing, capitol and projected income. We have to have all of these information for our business that we are doing in summer as a summer job.

TYPES OF RIGESTERING YOUR BUSINESS

There are two types of rigestering your business. One you can go online and fill the form or you can print it out and fill it and the pther one is a printede form.

WHAT DO I NEED FOR MY BUSINESS

What i need for my business are a nice digital camra, a good computer that has photoshop, photoeditor and other useful tools, a reflector that changes the colour of your skin basically it makes the skin colour darker or lighter, a stroke and an umbralla.

NAMEING OUR BUSINESS

Today we have to go to the website of webnames.com and we have to makes sure that no one else is using that name. We have to search and if that name is available we have circle our business's names and print it and gave it to our teacher.

RIGESTERING OUR BUSINESS

Rigestering your business's name is one of the most important part of a business. You should go and check with the website that the name that you are choosing for your business is that available or not. You also have to look for the url to make sure that no one else is using that name and that url that you are using.If you don't do all of these things and you start your business, you will spend a lot of money and when everything is ready to go someone will call you and say that you know what you can't use this name beacuse this is my business name and i have been using this for three years then you have to close everything and you can't get your money back. You have to be very careful while naming or registering your business.

MY BUSINESS
My business is photography. I will need a nice digital camera, a good computer that has Photoshop or other programs, TTC bus pass, and my business is a home based business.
Registering your business name:
You can name your business anything you want but first you have to make sure that no one is using that name or then you should go to the Via website, pay for the rigistration and rigister your name.
Taxes:
Businesses should pay taxes on their income both on federal and provincial government. They will calculate your income on your profit. Your profit- your gross income - your lawfull expenses which includes the cost of:

Rent of your office or other places.
Cost of buying or selling goods.
Delivery or transportation.
Fees for licences and permits.
Business travel.
Business advertising.
Business entertainment.
Business records:
This is always better to keep all of your records and books organized and the law says that you have to keep them for six years.
Licences:
You have to have a licences of the location or the licences of what are you doing and this includes the an operation permit.
Zoning:
Certain businesses has certain places to be there. They tel you to go and buy that place for your business.
Insurance:
Bacically insurance is a safty that you would like to have for your property, business interputation, person and disability insurance.
Renting (or buying) premises:
You will have to buy or rent a place for the kind of place that you are looking for, a place tha thas security, availability of parking and other nessesary things.
Business communications:
You will always need communication tools in one way or other. You might a computer a laptop, word processing, accounting and other useful tools.
Hiring employees:
You will have to hire employees at some point if not in the beginning then you have to hire when your business grows.

OUR SUMMATIVE

Today we got our summative project for computers. We have choose a business that we would like to do as a summer job. It should be realistic not something stupid that you will need alot of money to start and there will be no profits.
